"A Turkish construction worker was shot dead by militants in Iraq, Turkey's embassy in Baghdad said today, as concerns mount about other hostages and Turkish truckers say they'll stop ferrying supplies for U.S. forces. The identity of the worker, the first known Turkish national to be killed in Iraq, hasn't been confirmed, an embassy spokesman who requested anonymity said in a telephone interview.

Two other Turks, both truck drivers, are still being held hostage in Iraq, the official said."
