Still looks alive. His hands have moved in each picture.

Actually he is in the same position in all pics. Pic 1 taken from front. Pic 2 taken from side. One pic looks like he's hugging the tree. His hands are at the same level in both pics and that's why it appears to be 2 different positions - right hand is hidden by left hand in the side view pic.
