I've worked on the ups trucks before. The ear plugs are because they are LOUD. No sound deadening lots of engine and wind noise.

How the hell do you drive a truck into the woods? Heart attack? Stroke? He must have been speeding like a flaming demon from hell to mash up the vehicle -- and himself -- like that.
