Poor little babies... =( The cord getting wrapped around the neck during delivery is actually really common. Luckily, it doesn't always result in death or other issues. My youngest had her cord around her neck - it was a quick fix for the doctors, thank God.

My middle child was induced because on the monitor at a non stress test her heart rate kept dipping into the 30's. When I delivered her cord was wrapped 3 times and knotted. She would move a certain way and it would strangle her (hence the frantic movements). This directly resulted in her only weighing 4lbs at almost full term due to nutrient and oxygen deprivation. She probably would have died had I not noticed the frantic movements followed by stillness and went to L&D where they put me on the monitors. Scary stuff.
