Amatitlán, Guatemala

An armed incident that occurred at a cevichería located in the beachside kiosk area of a public beach left three people dead.

According to preliminary information, an individual arrived at the location on foot, where the victims were consuming alcoholic beverages, and opened fire directly on them. One of the victims was killed when attempting to flee, with her body being located near the entrance. After the attack, the assailant fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The deceased were identified as:
Sonia E.M.A., 33, who worked as a Community Liaison Officer for the Municipal Health District at the Amatitlán Health Center.
Eduardo M., 22, who was Sonia’s romantic partner (both pictured).
Daynery L., 29, who worked as a nurse.

No motive has yet been ascribed.

Bonus post

Zone 21 of Guatemala City. Neighbours found the body of a woman in an alleyway, wearing only her underwear and with a blanket lying on top of her. There were blood stains on her hands.

The young woman was believed to be around 20. Neighbours declined to testify if they had heard anything in the early hours. As my source puts it: "You know how it is — flies don’t go into a closed mouth, you already know that, sweetheart."

Becoming? Central America from Mexico down is been a place I don't want to visit. Anybody is in danger or targeted for
ransom. The girls getting killed either talked to someone that the gang didn't like or her significant other took exception to her behavior and made sure she didn't do that again. Good post man. Happy New Year Y'all.

Whatever the motive one of them crossed a line of someone they shouldn’t have plain and simple.

No robbery. Police reported that the guy showed up, shot all three of them specifically, and immediately took of after they dropped. Targeted assassination for sure. Just no motive (yet) ascribed.

I didn’t think it was a robbery but being that I’m just viewing this like everyone else can’t make a statement of true accuracy not knowing the real story.

No mention of robbery. No pants pockets inside out. One assailant against three victims with no report of searching any victim. That does not add up to robbery it adds up to a hit. In that area to settle a score and or to shut someone up. That is where I would spend my time.
