Re: Two Robbers Shot Dead in South Africa
It only looks like a dent. It's actually the skull bone and the way the brain cavity explodes when hit...especially by a .357 magnum and especially if it's a hollow point. The bullet (or projectile) in this case is actually traveling faster than the speed of sound...so when it hits the enclosed skull full of liquid, the pressure wave will literally explode and push the bone plates out. The skin is still attached to the bone pieces so once the brain has been expelled the bones look to cave in around the wound. The .357 magnum is an outstanding fight stopper and self protection round...it's just a little too much recoil for a lot of folks to handle. But it is very fast and powerful. The round can cause extensive pressure damage even from an extremity wound and it can penetrate car bodies and most urban cover with ease.
