you can't see the forest for the trees--islam inherently is a peaceful religion. the word islam means submit to god, not kill those who disagree with you. it's the extremists, not the everyday person like you and me, who are disgusting and cruel. the child-fucking fundamentalist latter-day saints and fred phelps' church in the united states come to mind. in the uk there was a massive number of muslim converts in the 1970s. they lived in communes, like silly little hippies. an ex-boyfriend of mine was born in a yurt somewhere in glocestershire. the musicians richard and linda thompson from fairport convention (some old band) were among these converts, and having met and lived with many of them, i can promise you they are sweet, benign people. it's just the assholes out there who are ruining it for everyone else. asalaamulaikum, bitches ! |

Probably u have heard about the recent Blackwater court hearings, some fucking Blackwater mercenaries also killed "in the name of God" in order to "defend" Christianity. That's also extremism. A propos musicians, do you know Peter Murphy, the singer of Bauhaus? He converted to Islam end of the 90ies and migrated to Turkey. |

I've had a lot of experience with Muslims and just like Christians, they range from some of the most bigoted, violent assholes, to some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Also, Blackwater (now Xe) takes no official religious stance, despite the corporations CEO being a devout Protestant. Religion has no place in an efficient business model and right now Xe is one of the most profitable businesses out there. |
