lynch lin(t)SH/ verb past tense: lynched; past participle: lynched (of a mob) kill (someone), especially by hanging, for an alleged offense with or without a legal trial. synonyms: execute illegally, hang, kill; informalstring up "he was lynched by the mob" I didn't know that being ran over was being lynched... oh because it's not! |
