Four people were killed and five others were seriously injured in a collision at the Salok Bat traffic-light intersection in Khanu Woralaksaburi district, Kamphaeng Phet province, Thailand, at about 8:45 a.m. on May 13, 2013. Five motorcycles had been waiting at the red light and began crossing toward Ban Bo Tham when their signal turned green. Police said an 18-wheel articulated truck carrying cement entered the intersection against its own red light and struck all five motorcycles.

Two victims died at the scene, and two died after being taken to hospitals in Khanu Woralaksaburi and Kamphaeng Phet. The wreckage caught fire, and local residents used extinguishers before rescue crews arrived. The truck driver said he had accelerated after seeing the signal turn amber and later claimed the brakes did not hold. The brake-failure account remained only the driver's claim. Police charged him with reckless driving causing death, injury and property damage.
