No not exactly. "Sky Funeral" the tibetan funeral involves a expert undertaker chops up the body and removes all the bones and organs and places the body in open area so animals can quickly finish it off. It probally evolved as its hard in himilayas to bury body or find wood for cremation.

Trust me its not a sight for soft hearted.
