The shock value of seeing a person like that in real life, for me, would've been intense, cuz you'll be seeing it in 3D, living color, with smells and sounds attached. I witnessed one of these accidents on the "A" train in Manhattan. The train stopped between stations, we were forced to exit, and I remember asking the conductor as we filed out "How often does this happen?" He said "Often, mostly suicide attempts...You just never hear about it on the local news because it gives people ideas"

I had a class with an MTA worker many moons ago who said that subway deaths happen quite often Whoops scrolled past moonglow's post well at least my guy's concurring what your conductor said ;-) |
