Thank You for Riding with MTA, New York City Transit
This guy, male, hispanic, 55 years of age, was homeless, the homeless are known to the NYPD as a "skell". He was wandering the NYC subway tunnels (as they typically do)...and was hit by a train, known to the NYPD as a "man under" Just beyond the platform at East 23rd Street and Park Avenue South, the subject stepped out of the way of an incoming #6 Local train as it were entering 23 & Park, due to the noise of the incoming #6 train, he was unable to hear the approaching #4 Express train traveling from 14th Street Union Square to Grand Central. (the Express trains bypass local stops traveling at high rates of speed) The guys legs were severed, his right torso ripped open, his left arm broken in half behind him and his face burned because it was touching the "third rail" which contains 600 volts of electricity in order to power the trains. This is not a repost, unless you were there with me, took pictures and beat me to the punch, which I highly doubt. I apologize about the photo quality, it was taken by a POS cell phone camera, I am working on getting better ones. This is my first post, I hope I didn't dissappoint.  · |

Ah, greetings, from TD4...the biggest and busiest...my friend... This happened earlier this month (May) no, not the "leap of fate" guy... A skell, wandering through the tunnels, probably wished he'd stayed on the train this time. |
