This young couple (both teens, but a couple of years apart) decided to hang themselves together. The motive is confusing; the male left a note for his mother and father, the girl didn't leave any note at all. His note was basically a rambling apology or being a failure and a letdown. Both were active on social media up until the day of their death and neither showed any signs of depression or discussion of suicide.

Time of death was not released, but they were discovered early Sunday morning and last seen Saturday night, so sometime in the 12 hour span between the two. They used a pair of grey and blue cloth straps to hang themselves with.

The forensic examination showed that neither decedent had any signs of violence aside from the ligature mark bruising the neck. The knot of the male's noose was oriented to the side, whereas the girl's had slipped around to the front, which likely meant she struggled more and had a more prolonged hanging, though probably not by much.

Both had tongues swollen and pressing against their teeth and forensics noted the presence of urine in the pants of both decedents. The female was also noted to have lost bowel control and soiled her jeans in her final struggles.

The families of both teens accepted the police findings and did not order an autopsy. Suicide was listed as the cause of both deaths.

Thanks. Double-suicides are ridiculously rare in Indonesia so I was lucky to come across this one this morning. On the flip-side, they're mostly Muslim there and they have some very particular qualms with photos of dead people, especially suicides. So it can be really tough to get good images. They give a lot of data (forensics reports), but pictures are hit and miss.

I spent almost 2 hours talking to the guy who filmed that video in hopes of him sending me an uncensored copy. It usually works. Especially since 20 bucks USD buys about 25 beers over there. He wouldn't bite, though. They often don't if the family declines an autopsy because they don't want to get called out for antagonizing the family of the deceased. If there's a full investigation they're a lot more forthcoming about the details and photos.

It seems that the boy had often spoke about suicide, as one article states:

According to information from the families of the SVP victims, he had often threatened to commit suicide when his brother warned him.

From another article:

Before committing suicide, the two wrote letters. Addressed to their closest relatives. The letter, in the form of a slip of paper, was placed on the mattress, near the hanging bodies.

In the letter, both of them also said goodbye to their families, especially their parents. In the letter, the lovers also mentioned their relationship that was not sanctioned.

"(In the letter) asking to be buried together. Then all this time their relationship was not approved, it was also conveyed in the letter," .

According to the victim's family, the two were lovers. "Information also comes from some of their families that they have close ties".

Previously it was said that the lovers were found dead in their sister's rented room in on Sunday night. The bodies of the two victims were taken to the hospital for an autopsy process. However, the family admitted that they sincerely accepted the incident. Because of this, the bodies of the two victims did not take an autopsy.

It seems like it may have been a case of forbidden love.

"There are three wills written by the victim. They conveyed their hurt because they were not approved. In addition, they also apologised to their parents and asked them not to be separated in the grave," he explained.

We already plan together. We don't want to separate. I want to be buried with 'S' + 'V'. Please our parents agree, when we want to be buried, we don't want to be separated.

Previously, the lovers like Romeo and Juliet hanged themselves using a tie in their boarding house. They were found hanging on the wooden supports of the boarding house walls by their own neighbours.

Thanks for the additional stuff, Simone. I caught the case early and wound up getting sucked into it for hours. There was a lot of misinformation off the bat and it took some sorting. As you likely saw, half the sites had the guy's age at like 27. :/

Anyway, the letter situation changed multiple times, whether there was one or two or apparently three. Last time I checked the girl hadn't written one, but after you posted I went back and saw that despite the article saying the letter I posted was from the boy, it is actually signed by the girl and addressed to her mother.
Glad you managed to update and clarify as my original post about the letters was clearly outdated.

I'm wicked pissed about not getting better video. The guy who filmed that one had another one filmed uncensored as well as several photos, but after negotiating with him for hours, I only managed to get him DOWN to $750 US. Greedy fucking bandit. I've no problem paying journalists or bystanders for material and have before many times for this site. But I've never had one try to chisel me for more than 50 bucks American.

Anyway, it was an interesting and somewhat rare case. I'd have preferred to get more uncensored pics or some better videos. Sometimes better stuff does show up a day or two later in Indonesia, but I reckon this is gonna be the lot for this set.

No problem, though it's a shame that uncensored material from Indonesia is hard to come by.

It's a pain in the arse with translations, as they often imply the opposite gender of the actual one it is (like stating 'the boy said' when it was actually the girl, + so forth).

Jesus, $750?! Fucking greedy twat, that's crazy, especially considering how much that would be in their country. I do hope you watermark any imagery that you buy, Ved'. You know what other gore sites are like, taking our material. It would be gutting for you to fork out for content just to have it taken by others.

Oh yeah, I always watermark anything I pay for or have to work especially hard for. Always have. I don't buy a lot, especially the past few years.

It's more common that I can't get them to sell, but they will provide me with uncensored/better stuff only under the agreement to not post it somewhere online. I still have an entire drive full of things under that category. I usually will gradually leak them out here at DR much later, a year or two after the case is resolved. Many of the times when I suddenly 'update' a two year old post saying I just found something new, it is actually just me slipping out the stuff that I agreed not to disseminate. I usually take those agreements seriously, not because they're legally binding but because if the journalist happens to find the exclusives here, it's burning a source.

I thought "fridge" at first, too. It's definitely not though. Just the way the wall is finished I think. Funny how our minds see things we're familiar with. I think it makes them appear smaller than they are. Not that it makes the situation less bad, just my observation.
