Contrasting stories between witnesses and police:

Locals that witnessed the event are saying that police chased the youth, who was riding a motorcycle, and struck him with their vehicle, causing him to crash, and subsequently die.

An unnamed police officer, however, is saying that they had a roadblock set up, checking vehicles, and that the youth rode through without stopping, eventually losing control and colliding with another vehicle.

Ironically, the police was pursuing him because he wasn't wearing the helmet, poor boy.
According to the witnesses the cops deliberately caused the accident, this sparked anger and caused riots (riot police had to intervene), with protesters throwing stones (to the police) setting a bus on fire and causing multiple damages let & right.
1 flip-flopped man was later arrested, accused of being the instigator and the ideologist of the riots.
