Teen Kills Herself With Pistol
18 years old committed suicide in her bedroom this week after a breakup with her boyfriend. This one put a bullet in her brain, which is somewhat unusual for young women in Mexico. The vast majority of them hang themselves instead, with a large number choosing to take household poisons. But gunshot suicide is fairly rare for the region, age, and gender of the decedent. I always find it curious that so many female suicides choose to die in their bare feet. It's such a vivid symbol of Lost Innocence.
