Here is his obituary and a picture of him: VILLERS Ricky Lee Villers Jr., 21, of River Ridge, died on Saturday, February 18, 2006. He was the beloved son of Dawn Villers, and Ricky Villers Sr.; stepson of Michael Ostarly; grandson of Tina Pierre, Franklin Ostarly, and the late Ernest ''Bud'' and Rose Villers; brother of Jessica Villers and Natalie Villers. Ricky was a 2002 graduate of John Curtis, where he led the 2002 state championship baseball team with a record of 21-1, was MVP of the 2002 state tournament, recieving all-state 2002, all metro 2001-2002, all district 2001-2002 honors, as well as playing on the 2001 state semi-finalist team and the 2000 state championship team. He attended Delgado Community College and Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Florida, both on baseball scholarship. He was a journeyman plumber, employed by River Ridge Plumbing. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2006, at 2:00pm at St. Matthew the Apostle, 10021 Jefferson Hwy, in River Ridge.
