The father of the deceased said that at approximately 8:00 in the morning he heard a shot in the room of his son MNG, 26 years old, so when he went to see what was happening, he found him lying in the middle of a puddle of blood.

MNG had a gunshot below the chin, with no exit, apparently shot with a .22 caliber rifle, unknown were the causes that led him to make this decision.

The relatives asked that the body not be sent to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) of Marquelia, and they did not want to deliver the weapon either, so only a certificate was given to their relatives.

Sounds dodgy if you ask me....

Intracranial pressure would be my guess, it's not uncommon to see people hemorrhaging from the ears and nose in severe head trauma- even when those areas aren't directly affected.

A low powered gunshot sometimes doesn't produce a exit wound.
Example Bjork fan Ricardo Lopez shot himself in the mouth with a 38spl.
In slow motion the bullet can be seen bouncing off the top of his skull
and producing a little hill. You need more oomph to produce that nice spatter mark

Anyone know why the relatives would not want his body to be taken for forensic examinationn and refuse to hand over the weapon. Also, why do the police let them choose?

The propellant gases, not to mention the projectile(s), can cause all kinds of damage without an exit wound.
