Happens quite a bit from what I hear. From what I understand engineers are under strict orders to just plow over people if they step in the way. A FOAF is an engineer and said he hits like six or seven people a year.

actually they are told not to bother stopping because of how often there are jumpers. My bfs uncle drives a ttc train (toronto transit), each station always has a set of body bags at them. apperently there are at least one jumper a week. One time he made eye contact with a jumper right before the splat. Had long term disability and some serious counselling for over a month..

Seriously, something like that would fuck me up emotionally, too.
