Re: Suicidal Nitrogen Inhalation by Use of Scuba Full-Face Diving Mask
Why don’t we utilize a method like this for the death penalty if it is so painless and the subject simply slips into unconsciousness before dying?

It would be useful to see a video, just to confirm what was said above about the painless slide into unconsciousness.

Re: Suicidal Nitrogen Inhalation by Use of Scuba Full-Face Diving Mask
I've worked on chemical sites in the past where men had previously died as a result of accidental nitrogen inhalation in a hose transfer pit. Apparently it only takes a few breathes of it - its odourless and colourless - to cause you to lose consciousness. Eventually the brain is starved of oxygen and its goodnight Vienna. The second part to this story is that the unconscious guys co-worker saw him lying there and without thinking, tried to rescue him. He too died before they were found some time later. This is in North East England... |
