The accident occurred on January 14 at 12:45 on the 233rd kilometer of the P-255 "Siberia" highway in the Topkinsky district of the Kemerovo region. A 53-year-old woman in a car of ZAZ "Shans" failed to drive while overtaking and collided with the oncoming bus "Nephaz".

The car literally turned into a pile of metal. The bus crushed the car with its weight. Five people died: a female car driver, a 28-year-old passenger and three 17-year-old teenagers. There were 12 passengers on the bus. One passenger was injured, who was injured in abrupt braking.

The alleged perpetrator of the accident worked part-time as private transportation. Three dead students caught a ride and returned after studying for the weekend from Kemerovo to Topki. Another deceased passenger worked in a local pharmacy and also returned home from the regional center on a ride.

I think it's safe to assume that the bus is out of service and any oncoming passengers need to wait for the next one, right?
