Re: Speeding Sportbike + Passing Car + Crash = Broken Neck

Only thing i regret about that is that his bike flew off everywhere and did not hit any of his co-moron friends. you got to feel sorry for that stain on the car driver's conscience even if that was not his/her fault.

Haven't seen any motorcycle accidents on here so far where a whole wheel was missing. I'd hope this incident deters his friends from driving so recklessly.
Doubt it. They probably blamed the cager.

Frankly. many of us here in DR hoped that that incident also took out his reckless friends with him and made the roads a little safer for the good people using it.

I don't particularly feel bad that the biker lost his life. I feel bad that a life was lost, yes. But it was completely avoidable and I also feel bad for the driver of the SUV, where he or she will likely have nightmares because this poor bastard decided to drive like an idiot.

my thoughts exactly. not easy to think you are driving a car that resulted death to someone... even if it was not your fault. i'd probably sell it right away as soon as the insurance paid for its repair or replacement.

Re: Speeding Sportbike + Passing Car + Crash = Broken Neck

They must have been really moving!
I saw an motorcycle accident here in Tucson where the motorcyclist ran into the rear side of a beverage truck, the kind with the roll-down doors on the side. He hit it about 5 feet from the rear end. It was violent enough that BOTH wheels came off the bike. I drove by just as the first responders were pulling up. It was a local street with 3 lanes in each direction, and no traffic. I still can't figure out how he was stupid enough to hit that thing. The accident was in the far R/H lane, so he had 2 other clear lanes to get around the soda truck. I guess it's just Darwin doing his thing.........
