It looks like human skin to me..You can see where he is holding a arm, where the head was and the 2 legs are closest to the tree one is hanging down while the other is attached to the tree.

Some info i know on this: Taken by finnish soldiers during Winter war this photo shows skin of a red army private. Poor dude was eaten by his "comrades" after they were surrounded and ran out of food.
