Re: Skinned Remains of Cartel Member Who Defected to Rivals
How can someone do this to another human being? I mean, killing someone is bad enough, but to sit there for another hour or 2 peeling every bit of flesh away from their body. Is so sinister it can only be described as an act of absolute evil. For his sake lets just hope he wasn't alive for most of it. But then again he was a drug dealing scumbag so maybe he earned it. |

Re: Skinned Remains of Cartel Member Who Defected to Rivals
Kinda. They worship Santa Muerte, a kind of “Virgin Mary” of death. It’s not considered a legit saint or anything according to Mexicos Catholic Church, it was mostly invented by the Narcos so they’d have their own protection since the Catholics frown on narco activity and will turn them away. Basically it’s not Satan, but is a figure of death that is supposed to be worshipped by the narcos for two reasons, to protect them in battle and to also bless them to die battle. They would honestly prefer to die as narcos in a shoot out than to die old with grand kids in their lap. To them that’s like an honor. So they set up offerings to the saint of death, because they believe without offering something they won’t be blessed. It’s only really practiced in narco states and doesn’t have a large following. Like 3 million people give or take. It’s mostly only worshipped by narcos and their families, most everyone else thinks it’s creepy. It always cracks me up when I see non-Mexicans think it’s a real saint or endorse by the Mexican Catholics, or they relate it to some folk tradition. It’s not, and it’s fairly new, it didn’t start popping up until the late 1990’s or early 2000’s. Before then, it was just some folk figure that nobody really cared much about. Then the narcos came and made it into what it is today, and most Mexicans want nothing to do with it or are looked at weird outside of the narco zones if they’re seen worshipping it. |

This is the translation: "This happened to me for being a traitor and a snitch, I thought the Salazars by Jotiza would protect me. Watch out Rolo Cholo because you'll end up the same or worse and those assholes won't even give you a coffin" |
