The more closely I look at the photos, the more I don't think it's a shotgun wound. There's just not enough damage, even for a post mortum wound. Maybe a close range blast from a .410 gauge chambered handgun or short barreled shotgun using birdshot. Does not look even close to a regular shotgun wound with buckshot. Looks like a post mortum blast from the victim's left side. The victim was most certainly dumped at the location after death.
