An article from 2nd March states:

Dominic can see and hear but the injuries he sustained to his jaw, mouth + nose have left him unable to speak + breathe on his own.

He shakes his head "yes" or "no" in response to investigators + had indicated that his right hand is swollen + he is unable, as of yet, to give a statement on the incident.

Police said they are seeking to speak to his doctors on his condition + the possibility of reconstructive surgery.
