Shot Several Times by a 12 Gauge Shotgun.
A 23 year old male died on March 2nd after he was shot at several times with a 12 gauge shotgun. The shooter ran off. The emergency services state he died on his way to the hospital. Not really a surprise seeing as he was left there as they took photographs before taking him. |

Re: Shot Several Times by a 12 Gauge Shotgun.
I've read many reports (of theory) that a person is killed instantly on Thier feet will fall crossing their legs . Looks like he was dead while standing .

Doubt it. The visible injury is from birdshot to the back of the lung. The shot spread is quite large and there's no visible bruising or injury from the wad. Definitely not a point-blank or close range shot and probably a slow and painful death if the shooter was not aiming for the head. |

Re: Shot Several Times by a 12 Gauge Shotgun.
That's assuming that was the only shot . The Angle , type of shot , was the shotgun choked, sawed off ? Those could very well be pellets trying to exit the back , actually, I gather most likely and in that case would be indicative of a short barrel and fair close range. But without more information only an hypothesis . |

I would guess (2) two pretty good holes : I'm sure he was a Standing kill but we would have to be executioners to find out for sure. I'll bet there would be loads of morbid documentation of this in Nazi Germany . Surely we aren't the only ones interested . |

Re: Shot Several Times by a 12 Gauge Shotgun.
Could be a birdshot blast to the front of the body from close up. Birdshot acts like a frangible slug when fired close enough to the target. That might account for the amount of blood on the mattress. And a birdshot blast to the back from a greater distance which would account for the wide patterning on the back. Just speculatin'... |
