One of my favorite cases, 2004, 19-year-old girl was murdered by unidentified assailant on the streets in Dalian. She was from a rural village of Anhui. The case was buried for a decade until it was used against the head of Central Security Bureau of Dalian in China’s political purges. The story surfaced that she was used as a “flowerpot” during negotiations of land contracts with the then Captain of the Dalian central district police force and now Head of Central Security Bureau of Dalian by a real-estate developer in 2004. The girl was offered to the then Captain as part of the bribe and the captain took a liking to her and wanted to keep her as a lover. Unfortunately, the girl’s employer also used her to secure the contract with the then Party Secretary of the city. The captain was enraged when he found out she had slept with another man and nearly decapitated her on the streets as punishment. All evidence was “lost” during the investigation and it was considered a cold case until 2016. Lost evidence was produced against the official and he was put up on charges of corruption and murder. Banished from the party and is serving a life sentence. Choosing the back, the wrong person politically in China is very dangerous.

Aykan, the last one ... nice looking teeth so not a poor village girl. Any idea why the killer would need to slash her rear neck and also front ? Or just wanted to ?
