That "stab wound" does look like tracheotomy (a.k.a. tracheostomy) to my untrained eye, so I would say "died in a hospital, perhaps"?

I'm looking for a set where an was official traveling with his mistress and her friend and died in an car accident on freeway. His mistress had fake tits but not bad looking. Anyone know anything about that let me know.
