That's the most ridiculous claim I ever heard, no whore will involve the police. maybe if the police was a relative or something but even then the ploy is stupid, considering how much cctv there is and all the things that can go sideways.

But prostitutes are abused, because they are vulnerable. Specially the ones who do things independently and have no protection of "networks". A group or even a single guy can show up with fake uniforms and credentials claiming to be police will make any whore be at their mercy. They can extort or rape the girl and if she resist she may be killed.

If you're talking about scams, most famous one is called "saintly man jumps" it is similar to "cat fishing". But the girl is real and after she gets you naked her "boyfriend and his friends burst into the door catching you at the most vulnerable position.

One case in early 2000s the "john" was killed when he resisted. The murderers were caught and sentenced the death. Even the girl was executed, there's a video of her confession and pre-execution interview. She was in her early 20s and was pretty good looking, too bad.
