Drunk and/or drugged out of his mind most likely. Thought the bed of snow he fell on, was the most comfortable bed to ever exist, went to sleep and died.

There is footage of a group of people setting themselves on fire. Everyone panicks. But this one guy just walks thru the flames, he’s fully on fire...and he looks similar to the gif. He just strolled out of the fire! (I hope I got most of the info right, or I could be mixing up fire deaths on here. |

Most likely drunk and/or high, crawled in there to sleep, and passed on from hypothermia, etc. A toxicological workup would clear that up quickly, especially so with the body well preserved....surely he was down there fora little while!
