Russia - 3 Dead in Car from Exhaust Fumes
On 8th January 2021 in Priamurye (Russia), 3 people were found dead in car. A fisherman found a car parked, with it's engine running, on the ice of the Bureyskoye reservoir. The car was covered with tarp to form a canopy. The 3 occupants of the vehicle had died from the exhaust fumes. It is thought to have been an accident, since the exhaust pipe was outside the makeshift tent. But due to the severe frost, the exhaust pipe had frozen, leaving the fumes to leak into the car.

I have never seen a tail pipe frozen over like that. Good to know that this can happen if ever trapped in a car in freezing weather. Sad but as someone said, a peaceful way to go. Just go to sleep and not wake up.

Re: Russia - 3 Dead in Car from Exhaust Fumes
Was wondering about that myself and this can only happen if the car was not running for a longer period. So i found this being posted on a local whatsapp group: |

Autos aren't airtight but Carbon-monoxide poisoning because there are too many people closed up in a confined space without sufficient fresh air does eliminate entire families, sometimes. It has occurred inside apartments, especially when gas stove burners are used to heat a 20x30 or less room with 6+ occupants.
