Re: Restorative Art - Before & After Embalming
Too bad we never got to see President Kennedy’s embalmed body. From what I read they did a great job restoring him.

Re: Restorative Art - Before & After Embalming
Yep... that's about it. I've seen some pretty Amazing things when it comes to Embalming trauma cases. I was working corporate when this Crazy White Supremist went on a small killing spree... This racist nut shot a Grandfather and Grandson almost point blank with a shotgun. It made National News... Killed at the Jewish Community Center but they were NOT Jews. Anyway the Grandpa took the majority of the blast. I mean you could literally put both of your fists inside his skull... that's how big the hole in his face was. No Joke... the female embalmer worked all day on him and he looked like Fucking Great... |

Re: Restorative Art - Before & After Embalming
I worked 7 years as an accountant for a funeral home. My office was right next to the prep room and if I needed to talk to one of the directors I would go in there. I got used to seeing all kinds of dead bodies. Anyway, the best FD/embalmer was an ex-military man that worked on soldiers bodies, fixing them up to send home to family. Anyway, so one day he asks me to come look at this man and I did and said, ok what about him? He proceeds to show me a Polaroid of before and the guy had face cancer and his nose and some of his face was missing. The family asked what he could do and that’s what he did. I have so much respect for the FDs. They only get one chance and I was always so impressed by the work they did.
