Re: A Real Slap in the Face

Thank you for this great post and your learned, eloquent and thoroughly researched, elaborate description—as always.

I'm not necessarily an expert in partial-suspension suicides, but in her case I am wondering where the weight necessary to compress the neck arteries comes from in this particular situation—when her shins and knees are set on the ground, appearing to bear the weight (not hovering), and I don't see any slouching in her torso that could've produced the requisite amount of weight to achieve strangulation? I do see her tongue protruding, so obviously that was the cause of death... but the knees on the ground, and the absence of visible upper body slouching cause me to scratch my head about this.

I'm not a criminologist, so I'm sorry if any of my observations are incorrect.

Thanks.

Re: A Real Slap in the Face

Follow-up: The reason I am asking this is in the eventuality that, say, someone actually strangled her and then positioned her body in this commonplace posture, to make it look like suicide.

Final request. My written understanding of Spanish is much stronger than my listening, plus I'm an old man with bad hearing. If someone can translate exactly what the camera guy is saying, that'd be cool.
He is saying: "Hey, Vedderman, post this in the Bladder Control Problems thread on DR."
