Yeah, it is absolutely her. But you aren't wrong.

Etsu made the same comment when I sent her the vid earlier today.

Some women look exactly the same when dead or alive, I mean like they're sleeping. Some manage to look completely different.

With hangings/strangulations especially, I have noticed that the changes can be profound. Some hangers look like they're sleeping peacefully and some just die ugly.

This one's countenance was not improved by death, not at all.

One slant of the main article was about the rising drug dependency problem in the area she was from.

It advanced the theory (partially substantiated by a member of her family) that she had been dealing with a substance abuse problem for the past several months and that it was largely contributory to her suicide. They also directly linked it to her weight loss in the video, versus some of her instagram photos which were all from around 6+ months earlier or more.
The photo I am including with this post was a recent one, taken only five days before her suicide. I think she is even wearing the same shoes and shorts that she later strangles in.

I won’t read too much into the difference of appearance before and after death. Photo quality, photo angle, filtering, and lighting can all contribute to the difference.

No livor.

No rigor (based on the loose movements of her limbs when he jostles her).

Saliva stains on her pink shirt still freshly wet; salivary glands only continue to produce saliva when the person is alive, so most dribbling likely occurred recently during the hanging itself or immediately after.

She pissed herself when she was dying and the urine stains on her shorts are obviously still freshly wet.

It's an active public park in the early evening and she was hanging low to the ground. Chances of her corpse being found very quickly were strong.

The full report indicated that she had been seen at home by a family member only about 45 minutes before the body was discovered.
