Re: Protective Parenting Leads to Disaster
Eh. In fairness, this is Mexico. Skipping school and doing drugs isn't exactly the same sort of innocent "growing pains" shit parents in the suburbs in the US deal with. Even peripheral involvement in the drug scene down there can put you in a pretty dangerous position. Whether or not her methods were reasonable, I'd hardly say she was over the line with trying to curtail her daughter's drug use.

Re: Protective Parenting Leads to Disaster
Wow.. what a fkn story, I wasn't expecting that tbh... just as dramatic as the boy who shot himself with a shotgun cause he had an argument with his father... I honestly don't know what was going on in her mind, she probably already had mental problems and I guess being isolated in the house might have caused a bunch of thoughts? still though, over that? REALLY?! Very sad, to leave all your loved ones with nothing but grief... |

Re: Protective Parenting Leads to Disaster
I totaly agree, the mother did what was best for her daughter. Her daughter is was just an ungrateful asshole, who ultimately got what she deserved. Her mother didn't cause her death, she was trying to keep her alive if anything, she knew the route her daughter was going down was going to lead to a long painful life or an early death. I feel bad for the mother in this case. |

Re: Protective Parenting Leads to Disaster
It sucks that we never see pics of good ol' American deaths. It's always the shitty countries where dying is no big deal. Like places where these motherfuckers film u dying on shitty flip phones and then step over the body when it's all over. I mean it's cool and all and I fully acknowledge that it's what makes this wonderful site, but I so desire to see pics from America.
