Pregnant Woman Murdered and Baby Removed by Her Own Friend
Colombia- A woman identified as L.B.V., was murdered yesterday afternoon, May 17 in the Los Amarillos district, municipality of Sahagún. The woman was apparently beheaded to steal the baby, since she was pregnant. Passers-by became aware of this situation and immediately warned the authorities who reported that the victim's body had stab wounds in the neck and belly for the purpose of stealing her baby. The commander of the Córdoba Police, Colonel John Fredy Suárez, explained that around 4:00 p.m. yesterday they received a warning call about the discovery of the lifeless body of a young woman in a place in the aforementioned sector of the department of Córdoba. Another young woman, Sadith Vanessa Martínez Bustamante, who she knew, is the murderer. She was also pregnant and was seen accompanying the victim, after this she showed up with a newborn baby in the municipal hospital claiming to have had a premature birth so she was treated. However, the specialists determined that the woman had not had any labor, which raised suspicions and immediately informed the municipal authorities who currently has the woman in custody as an indictee. Meanwhile, the baby is receiving specialized medical care to ensure her well-being and the police authorities in coordination with the Attorney General's Office, she is carrying out the corresponding procedures to clarify the case. At the moment, the Police are collecting material evidence and physical evidence with the aim of requesting arrest warrants for the people involved, such as some photographs that are already circulating on different social networks. Sadith Vanesa Martínez is the alleged murderer of L.N.B.B., an event that occurred in the Los Amarillos district, a rural area of Sahagún (Córdoba). The accused was officially captured yesterday afternoon, and for today the hearing for the legalization of the capture and the imputation of charges is taking place. The police are investigating whether others would be involved in the macabre crime.
