Woman Dies in Motorcycle Accident
34 year old passenger on a bike suffered fatal head injuries when the driver lost control and the bike took a spill on the highway. Driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene but the passenger, shown here, had serious head trauma and was pronounced dead after transport to the hospital. A cause for the accident was not given in the reports and it did not mention whether or not the decedent was wearing a helmet. My guess is no. |

Re: Woman Dies in Motorcycle Accident
The frequency of fatal accidents in Latin America is out of control. There's just a different threshold of carelessness and no fucks given down there. When I was living in Central America last year, there were bad wrecks all the time, people who died doing risky and unnecessary passing over the median on the freeway. Amazingly most people wearing helmets down there due to the high fines but still saw helmeted people with their necks snapped by the side of the road. Kids riding in the backs of pickup trucks at full speed on the freeway. Glad I didn't see any of those crash but I'm sure they do. smh |
