Police Kill 2 Criminals After They Rob a House + Kidnap a Woman
Last night (8th August 2018) in Boqueirão, 4 criminals robbed a house + kidnapped a woman in her car. Police caught up with the car, released the hostage + an "intense exchange of gunfire" ensued. 2 of the criminals were shot dead + 2 others were arrested.

Too bad they reported 2 surviving crooks. I would have just reported all 4 of them killed while resisting arrest, and let it go at that.

Seeing as how it's northern Brazil, it is possible that any random criminal could possess valuable intelligence about organized crime (cartels, street gangs, etc.). So, the authorities will interrogate them and if they talk, they will likely get lighter sentences and then murdered in prison within a month or two. Brazilian gangs adhere to the maxim "Snitches end up in ditches." |
