Woman Shot Dead
On the evening of 28th December 2012 in Rio Branco, 52 year old Maria de Fátima Veras da Silva was shot dead. Maria had been visiting her mother. She was sat outside having a chat when 2 men on a motorbike arrived They shot at Maria 4 times, she fell to the ground + they carried on shooting. Maria's mother screamed at the horror of what was happening to her daughter. On 3rd July 2013, 20 year old Edilson Monteiro de Andrade, who was also suspected of killing 7 other people, was arrested for Maria's murder. His motive for the murder was a feud between the family + a prisoner (of which the nephew was the other person on the motorbike). Edilson was given $4 thousand + a pistol for the hit.

I like how the culprit is brought into the press conference, for the world to see, none of this blanket over the head stuff, and rushed into the van..
