I am dubious about these pics they look staged to me.

They do look fake. The movie still frame quality of them makes me suspicious. But I'm never going to Mexico anyway. After being on this site I understand why my city has so many Mexicans.

Damn, I was hoping they were fake, but I checked out the websites openminded13 listed and it seems it's even sicker than it looks. Thanks for the info.... (i think).

It's a still from the movie Bordertown, see here for example: at 1:05:10, Lauren stumbles onto a mass grave, this one. The articles mentioned at page # 1 didn't caption it, and don't say a word about the photo: one is about the female homicides in Ciudad Juárez (in general); another one is about the murder of three women occurred in an apartment, the italian one is about the female homicides in Ciudad Juárez (in general, again). Since there was some remote chance that the photo was real and ended up along with the movies one by mistake, i finally could track down a copy of the photo still containing EXIF data.
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 20D, on July 15, 2005 at 4:32:53PM (timezone not specified):
The decription tag reads:

Thank you Gatagato. People look at some little blog that uses a fake still to illustrate a real story and automatically assume it must be real. While people constantly yelling "fake" is annoying, others yelling "real" can be just as grating. Sometimes one just needs to open their eyes.
