Gas lighter inhalation is very common among teenagers in the gulf area. It is abused for recreational activity.
The gas is rapidly absorbed into the lungs and blood levels peak up in seconds producing instantaneous euphoria and narcosis. Symptoms of intoxication include dizziness,drowsiness, thick slurred speech,delirium and hallucinations. circulatory effects include hypertension,tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation.
Death is caused by asphyxiation due to gas replacing oxygen in the lungs or due to prolonged laryngospasm produced by the the jet of gas and its cooling effect which may result in freezing of the vocal cords. Death can also be brought about by ventricular fibrillation.

In this case a fifteen years old boy suddenly collapsed in a deserted area. Two cans of pure butane gas lighter were in the vicinity of the cadaver,one of them was used as shown in picture It shows extreme pallor of the lower lips probably due to the cooling effect of the expanding gas. Blood sample showed toxic level of butane gas.

The idiot in the picture looks like a dumbass. A few years ago, we had 3 kids sniff Pam, sitting in front of a Municipal Building....they all died almost immediately. They didnt realize that the Pam made the interior of their lungs sticky. Once they exhaled.....they couldnt inhale. Sad shit !!!
