*Just a selection of the many images that are out there...
Awesome selection.

It really conveys the human cost of things.

Re: Philippines Drug War 2016

good riddance... cry kids and don't become like your turdish parents.
What makes you think the parents were drug dealers?

If you're in the Philippines and you want to kill, you just say it's a drug dealer and you walk, that's what the current policy amounts to, and you can bet it is being taken full advantage of by people with scores and grudges to settle.

Re: Philippines Drug War 2016

the people of pandacan love him - they can finally walk the street without fear again; and yet, some people think the lives of criminals are more important than the law abiding citizens
Might be that their concern is rule of law, not the criminals.

It takes nothing to plant a rumour that someone is a drug dealer. So you get to wipe out anyone someone wants to be rid of. And it makes the people quiet for a while. Well, gee, who woulda thunk it, right?

Why bother with all the rule of law stuff, when we all can just trust those in power to handle life and death for us, with no need for evidence or transparency, as well as no need for accountability or suspicion, right?

I mean, it's not like history isn't full of examples of that turning gold to straw at a pace that would keep a whole ranch worth of cattle gobbling it down by the bale.

Obviously, it's chance that every successful nation in the world has adopted rule of law as the normal way to do business. We're all just being stupid, is all. The trend doesn't indicate it's a smart move. Quite to the contrary. It just shows how low our dedication is. We are weak and stupid, that must be it.

Your second world developing country knows how it's done, after all, and the lessons we've learned don't apply to you. You don't need to follow our example. You have your strong man, and he's going to solve all the hard problems, because he knows what no other head of state knows: that it's really easy, just kill enough people and all will be well.

Yeah. You're gonna be right up there with the rest of us in the developed first world, like, in record time. Power, wealth, civics, everything. It'll be awesome. And you'll know who to thank for it.

Just keep the same guy in mind if it starts to feel like history has acquired a stutter...
