A post from the archive of the original thread where it appeared, that gives the most likely explanation of it:

Normally a body brick is used to elevate the torso, but in this case her arm is being used. Also the floor tiles appear to be older and in a state of disrepair. Both corpses appear to be caucasian.
Otherwise the autopsu appears to be standard, however the brain removal is usually to check for evidence of diseases not as common in the first world.
Conclusion, more then likely taken at a medical school in east block Europe or Russia. Nothing illegal, was probally a cadaver sold to the school."
