Re: Pastor Burns Himself on a Bridge

He had a family problem he couldn't control so he did that, I'm sure that made it all better

I doubt he had a wife, but, the family doesn't have to listen to him talking about it anymore. Maybe for them, it was a blessing.

Re: Pastor Burns Himself on a Bridge

Eh, they called it "family problems" but there seems to be a Boccaccesque story behind his decision:

RCCG Pastor burns self to death
A Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG at Enerhen in Uvwie local government area of Delta State recently burnt himself to death, Fresh Angle has learnt.

There are indications that the decision of the cleric identified simply as Pastor Celestine to take his life is not unconnected with the alleged impregnating of the church choir mistress by the name Rita.

Fresh Angle gathered that the said Pastor Celestine had been pleading with Rita to abort the pregnancy in order for people not to know, but she vehemently refused, even as Pastor Celestine warned that her refusal to abort the pregnancy will led to the fall of the parish.

The pastor allegedly issued a cheque of two million naira to the choir mistress in a bid to convince her to terminate the pregnancy, but the choir mistress refused and told Pastor Celestine that she cannot remove the pregnancy because of her health, fearing that it might lead to her death.
Fresh Angle gathered that in a bid to avoid the scandal that the pregnancy will cause, Pastor Celestine drove himself to Udu bridge, parked the car and lit up himself under the bridge.

Pastor Celestine who has been married for the past 2 years, has a 2- month old baby girl.
How I wish that our politicians would emulate this shiny example For each scandal to avoid, 1 man burning alive... Now that would be spectacular for sure.

The first thing that ran through my mind was, " Wow! if there were wings on those awesome shoes, we could call it "Son of Freddie Mercury."
