Parachute Failure

Happened on 20/08/12). paratroopers training in the area when a parachute failed and the guy fell to his death.
The body was found with entire body fractures.

I actually always wondered what a fall from the sky would do to a human being. Dude, even though he's dead and I'm sorry for him I would've thought his body would be a lot more damaged. Remember that horse and horseman falling off the cliff? Those bodies were shredded!

I assume things broke his fall, maybe tree's and such.

Something we don't know is what type of failure he experienced. I imagine a complete failure (no chute) would have left him a bit more like a compressed jelly doughnut. A partial failure could have left him with some bit of chute overhead and in the dark he might have thought he wasn't falling too fast for survival.... Didn't help if he actually hit the patio vice a cleared area of drop zone!
