It used to be that you would hack up a body to make it easier to carry and hide. But now it seems that it's more of a sign of disrespect to the deceased and a form of scare tactic. Seems like a lot of unnecessary work when a body with a bullet through the head sends the message loud and clear enough.

As a graduate of the Colombian School of Forensic Science and Plumbing, my first inclination was to label this "The most determined suicide I've ever seen!" But the plastic wrapping kind of shoots that one down. So I'll just label it in my mind as "death by misadventure"  Take THAT, Jessica Fletcher!! |
