Re: OD Suicide

Does anyone know if an OD suicide is painful? Just in case I decide to leave and don't want to make a mess...
I'll tell you a personal story. When I went through ultimate rock bottom for highly personal reasons several years ago, I OD'd twice. Baclofen to "make it stop" resulted in really scary symptoms that were beyond horrendous but not fatal. Amitriptilyne caused me to drift off peacefully, like a strong sedative, but I woke up in trauma having been found and resuscitated as my heart stopped.

Will most certainly depend on the drug used.

OD is mostly a tragic cry for help but there are those who sadly die.

A shed load of paracetamol without alcohol results in a night spent vomiting.

Re: OD Suicide

A neighbour locked himself in his car, drank a shitload of paint thinner, sat there for about half an hour, then drenched the interior of the car with some more and set it on fire. Happened July 2011. Unfortunately taking, owning or distributing pics of a "crime scene" is a felony there, so no pics.
Anyway, that's the only case of suicide I am personally familiar with, I guess the guy was in terrible pain to set himself on fire. This lady seemed so peaceful and that's the only reason I asked.

Re: OD Suicide

That is very true. When I was living in the US I heard on the radio about a woman who died after drinking too much water for a radio show contest!

Re: OD Suicide

We have too many "Geniuses" prescribing medication without "Quality" follow up. I have had to deal with the former and the latter prevails. I would like to have this type deal with their "Unfortunate" misdiagnosis but unfortunately the state encourages incompetent diagnosis to save on the bottom line....

I see you were thinking on four levels at once there, but still; what?
