Nigeria - Man Sentenced to Hang for Stabbing His Girlfriend to Death
30 year old M.I.A. + 24 year old H.M. started going out in 2014. 'M' said that 'H' was the perfect girlfriend. Despite his statement, he never did the one thing that 'H' wanted; him to propose to her. His family had no interest in meeting her family + so 'H' would never get her wish.  On 29th May 2018 in Adamawa State (Nigeria), 'H' told 'M' that another man had been showing interest in her + she was thinking about starting a relationship with him. Enraged at this, 'M' stabbed 'H' to death.  During the whole relationship, 'M' had been addicted to drugs.  Over a year later, on 11th June 2019, 'M' was sentenced to death by hanging. The judge ruled, ”by virtues of section 273 Criminal Procedural Code, when a person is sentenced to death, he be hanged by the neck to death. “I therefore sentence you that M.A. to die by hanging. May God have mercy on you”

Poor girl, all she wanted was to be married. Classic case of "If I can't have you, no one can". And if he was so repentant, why did the police have to come to him?

We just had something similar happen here at a local college. Sad thing is short of killing this type of predator nothing can protect these women.
