Thailand - Death Mix
1. On 7th June 2019 in Banglamung District, 48 year old C.J. died. He was sweeping the road when he was accidently knocked down by a car.     2. On 9th June 2019 in Bang Sao Thong, 43 year old S.P, died in a road accident.         3. On the morning of 9th June 2019 in Sao Hai District, a charred body was found inside a car.      4. On 11th June 2019 in Nonthaburi Province, 22 year old B.M. died. He was riding his motorbike on a bridge when he lost control + fell off the bridge, landing on top of a car.       5. In the early hours of 11th June 2019 in Muang Chon Buri, a man died after being knocked down by a car.      6. June 2019 in Bang Pa-in, a road accident claimed the lives of 30 year old S.P. + 41 year old 'S'.

Thailand has the second highest road traffic fatality rate in the world at 36.2 per 100 000 with an annual estimate of over 24 000 deaths or 66 deaths every day. While globally 49% of road traffic deaths are among vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists), it is 83% in Thailand including 73% among motorcyclists or 48 per day. Additionally Thailand loses 3 to 5 % of its GDP due to road traffic crashes. The Third Global Status Report on Road Safety identified legislative and/or enforcement gaps related to all five risk factors (speed, drink-driving, helmets, seatbelts and child restraints). For example, urban speed limit in Thailand is one of the highest in the world at 80 km/h; there is no BAC limit specific for novice or young drivers; seatbelts in the rear seats are not required; and there is no child restraint law. Enforcement also remains a major challenge for Thailand. Despite a good helmet law, Thailand scores 6 out of 10 on helmet enforcement.  · |

Most of the people in Thailand are uneducated, many of them do whatever they please and ignore the law. For example run the motorcycle in the opposite direction, drink and drive, go beyond speed limit, No helmet protection, no seat belt, etc.. Whenever the accident happen this is what we will hear the most like "I did it because I'm poor", "This is what everyone do here in Thailand", "I don't know the law", etc.. Trust me these kind of thing happen so many times so we are used to it. Or we can say in the short word they are careless and stupid. Blame everything except themselves.
