Re: Niece of Honduran President and Her Husband Executed (2010)
Rant? Man, if you think that was a rant then you REALLY haven't been here long. I put a lot of work into making sure the stories that go with the photos here are correct. My work in that regard (and that of several other posters here) is much of what separates this site from other 'gore' sites that just post lurid images with shaky descriptions. I drew references for this incident from numerous journalistic sources as well as the US State Department's internal memos. I made sure I had the facts as straight as they could be before I posted. Your tone and phrasing made it sound like you were accusing either me or the photographers of faking/staging the scene. When I asked you (at the end of my response post) to clarify, you dodged the question. I don't get defensive about my posts for the most part aside from one circumstance: when people insist on expressing their 'opinion' that I fucked up the facts of the case when reporting it. I don't post fakes, I don't alter images, and I don't manufacture details. Intimating that I do so is, at best, mildly insulting, and is bound to elicit an appropriately defensive response in turn. |
